Ilwaco hasn't had much luck against Morton/White Pass recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Ilwaco Fishermen will welcome the Morton/White Pass Timberwolves  at 7:00  p.m. Ilwaco is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last six games dating back to last season.
 Last Friday, Ilwaco beat Wahkiakum 28-20. The  victory was all the more spectacular given the Fishermen's disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings  (they are ranked 256th, while the Mules are ranked 35th).
 Meanwhile,  it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose  64-34, which was the final score in Morton/White Pass' tilt against Rainier on Friday. The loss was the Timberwolves' first of the season.
 Morton/White Pass'  defeat came about despite a quality game from  Judah Kelly, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 141 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes. That's the most  rushing yards  Kelly has posted since back in September of 2023. Another player making a difference was  Kohen Ingalsbe, who gained 100 total yards and a touchdown.
 Even though they lost, Morton/White Pass was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 295  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 276  rushing yards in three consecutive  games.
 Ilwaco's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Morton/White Pass, their  loss was their first of the  season and  makes their record 2-1.
 Ilwaco took a serious blow against Morton/White Pass  in their previous meeting  back in October of 2022, falling  42-0. Can Ilwaco avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
