Ranchview is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Lake Worth a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Ranchview Wolves will welcome the Lake Worth Bullfrogs at 7:30 p.m. Lake Worth took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Ranchview, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Ranchview turned things around against Life Waxahachie on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 35-12 margin over the Mustangs. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won three contests by 23 points or more so far this season.

Ranchview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rushil Allada, who threw for 305 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes. Allada is becoming a predictor of the Wolves' success: when he posts at least 300 passing yards the team is 3-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Ranchview's leading receiver Devin Scott was Allada's top target yet again, picking up 150 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Ranchview didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Life Waxahachie to a completion percentage of just 47.1%. The team can thank Logan Thomas for the heroic effort on defense: he. Given Allada's standout performance, it's clear Life Waxahachie's secondary just wasn't on the same level.
Meanwhile, Lake Worth was beaten by Kennedale 41-14 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bullfrogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 740th, while the Wildcats are ranked 259th).
Ranchview will have to contain Lucas Davis as he made an impact in Lake Worth's last game. He threw for 166 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 39 yards.
Ranchview's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Lake Worth, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Ranchview strolled past Lake Worth when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 35-17. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Bullfrogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
