Even though the Central Jaguars have not done well against the Paxton Bobcats recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Central snuck past Paxton with a 51-47 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Central.
Lakin Mathews continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 32 points along with five steals. Lily Mathews was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Central has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for Paxton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-4.
Central will square off against Jay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jay will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Central surely won't give up without a fight. Paxton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
