Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Has No Trouble Against Overhills

Pinecrest barely beat Overhills the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Patriots put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The Patriots not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0).

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 25-12.

Kenlee Agrell went supernova, getting six aces and five digs. What's more, she racked up 15 assists, the most she's had over her last 11 contests. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Taylor, who had 14 digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Pinecrest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matchups.

Pinecrest's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Overhills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Pinecrest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Pine Forest on the 2nd. As for Overhills, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Jack Britt on the 2nd.
