The Liberty Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Yosemite Badgers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Yosemite took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Liberty, who comes in off a win.
Liberty had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Minarets with a 48-42 victory on Friday.
Liberty's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carson Badger, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Patton, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Yosemite ended up a good deal behind Chowchilla on Friday and lost 63-48. Yosemite has struggled against Chowchilla recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Yosemite, they bumped their record down to 5-12 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Liberty came up short against Yosemite in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 42-38. Can Liberty avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
