Willis has gone a perfect 4-0 against New Caney recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Willis will venture away from home to take on New Caney at 6:00 p.m. Willis will be strutting in after a win while New Caney will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Willis was able to grind out a solid victory over Cleveland, taking the game 8-3. That's two games straight that the Wildkats have won by exactly five runs.

Meanwhile, New Caney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Grand Oaks, falling 9-2.

Willis pushed their record up to 7-9-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for New Caney, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-1.

Willis came out on top in a nail-biter against New Caney when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Willis since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
