Basketball Game Preview: Bodine vs. Belmont Charter Tigers

Bodine will venture away from home to face off against the Belmont Charter Tigers at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bodine will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Bodine needed a bit of extra time to put away Penn Treaty. They secured a 111-106 W over the Wovles. Bodine's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Bodine got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nigeir Fisher out in front who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance gave Fisher a new career-high in points. Alex Delisca was another key player, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds.

Bodine smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 19 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Belmont Charter was able to grind out a solid win over Philadelphia Electric Charter on Thursday, taking the game 50-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Belmont Charter found their leader in sophomore Zymir Dessus, who posted 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for Dessus. The team also got some help courtesy of Willie Williams, who put up nine points.

Bodine pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.3 points per game. As for Belmont Charter, their record now sits at 6-4.

Bodine took a serious blow against Belmont Charter in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 69-35. Can Bodine avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
