Madison Blanchard-Salazar spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lilly Barker, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple was her first of the season. Jordan Brubaker was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Carson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.
Damonte Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Carson, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.
