The Edison Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Stagg at home to the tune of 91-29. The win was just what Edison needed coming off of a 100-68 defeat in their prior match.
Edison had a senior duo take command as Terrell Tek scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals and Carmello Martin scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Martin has scored all season. Arthur Grady jr. was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Edison pushed their record up to 13-8 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points per game. As for Stagg, their loss dropped their record down to 2-20.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will challenge the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McNair will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 916th, while the Vikings are ranked 329th). As for Stagg, they will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Weston Ranch knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matchups -- so hopefully the Delta Kings like a good challenge.
