The Plainview Bears''s four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took down Ohatchee 34-18. Plainview pushed the score to 34-12 by the end of the third, a deficit Ohatchee cut but never quite recovered from.
Trey Rutledge was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns. Brayden Lingerfelt also helped out with an impressive 89 receiving yards.
Despite the loss, Ohatchee still got an impressive performance from Colby Hester, who rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 52 receiving yards.
Plainview's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Ohatchee, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-5.
Plainview will square off against New Hope at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Hope is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. Ohatchee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
