After two weeks on the road, Murtaugh is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Hagerman at 7:00 PM. If the contest is anything like the 84-42 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
Murtaugh came into their this week averaging 47.14 points per game, but Murtaugh fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They were completely outmatched, falling 6-50 to Carey. Murtaugh's low-scoring loss was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the match before.
Meanwhile, Hagerman took an ego-bruising defeat against Carey three weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Friday. Hagerman were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Richfield 84-24. Hagerman were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
