Baseball Game Preview: Maysville Panthers vs. John Glenn Little Muskies

The Maysville Panthers will take on the John Glenn Little Muskies at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. John Glenn took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Maysville, who comes in off a win.

Maysville will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating River View, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Panthers skirted past the Black Bears 10-8. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

BRYCE FISHER made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Maysville is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-13 otherwise. FISHER was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on KALE RILEY, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, John Glenn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Tri-Valley, falling 14-3.

John Glenn saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zane Townsend, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Maysville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-14 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for John Glenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-17.

Maysville might still be hurting after the 10-1 loss they got from John Glenn when the teams last played back in April. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
