Volleyball Recap: Esperanza Has No Trouble Against El Modena

There's no place like home for Esperanza, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the El Modena Vanguards on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Aztecs this season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-21.

Esperanza's victory bumped their record up to 4-11-1. As for El Modena, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Esperanza will take on rival Pacifica at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Aztecs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Meanwhile, El Modena is set to face off against their familiar foe Brea Olinda at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will also give the Vanguards their first taste of in-conference action this season.
