Baseball Recap: Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Has No Trouble Against Northstar Christian Academy

The Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Wolves made easy work of the Northstar Christian Academy Knights on Wednesday and carried off a 10-1 victory.

Levi Reale spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Saint John Paul the Great Catholic is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-8 otherwise.

At the plate, James Fuller and James Genovese did most of the damage at the plate: Fuller scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Genovese scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. What's more, Fuller posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Liam Kennedy was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Saint John Paul the Great Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Northstar Christian Academy, their record now sits at 0-2.

Coincidentally, Saint John Paul the Great Catholic and Northstar Christian Academy will both be playing Trinity Christian the next time they take the field. The Knights will head out to face the Gryphons at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wolves will host them at 4:30 p.m. on the 25th.
