Gateway Christian has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the StoneBridge Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
On Tuesday, Gateway Christian came up short against Greenbrier Christian Academy and fell 48-36. That's two games in a row now that Gateway Christian has lost by exactly 12 points.
Despite their defeat, Gateway Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Evalyn Snider, who scored 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. Rime Lamrabet was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
StoneBridge posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They skirted past Portsmouth Christian 30-28.
Gateway Christian's loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-9. As for StoneBridge, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Gateway Christian suffered a grim 36-11 defeat to StoneBridge when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Gateway Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
