The Biglerville Canners are on the road again  on Friday to play the Fairfield Knights at 4:15  p.m. Both teams come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Biglerville was not the first on the board  last Wednesday, but they got there more often. They won by a  run and slipped past York County Tech  5-4. The  victory was just what Biglerville needed coming off of  a  10-2 defeat in their prior  game.
  Parker Black was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over six innings pitched. Black was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Aiden Hoffman was  excellent,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Fairfield had to endure  a  three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Hanover 15-4. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Fairfield considering their one-run performance the  contest before.
 Like Biglerville, Fairfield also got a great game from a two-way player:  Jayden Bell. He  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up  four earned runs off   three  hits. Bell was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news, Fairfield got a  massive  performance out of  Jacob Liller, who  went 2-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Knox Deming, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Biglerville now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fairfield, their record is now 2-4.
 Biglerville came up short against Fairfield when the teams last played  back in May of 2023, falling  8-3. Can Biglerville avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
