Baseball Recap: Poolville Has No Trouble Against Perrin-Whitt

Poolville had won three straight at home, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 15-7 to make it four. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Perrin-Whitt Pirates. The result was nothing new for the Monarchs, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

As for Perrin-Whitt, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-7. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but Poolville's pitchers proved too tough.

For Perrin-Whitt's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joe Welch, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Riley Sims was another, earning three stolen bases.

Looking ahead, Poolville will host Moody at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Perrin-Whitt, they will take on Munday at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Moguls will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
