Steele Canyon and Bonita Vista squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Steele Canyon had to settle for second. They took a 26-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barons. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

A big part of Bonita Vista's win came down to the chemistry between Mia Ramirez and her top target Leiani Wilson. Ramirez threw for 172 yards and a pair of TDs while Wilson picked up 50 receiving yards and one score.

Steele Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Bonita Vista, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.

Steele Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bonita Vista, they will face off against Westview at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Barons 8.2, the Wolverines 10.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
