The Will Rogers College Ropers posted their closest victory yet this season on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Coweta out 58-55. With that win, Will Rogers College brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Will Rogers College got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jay Oates iii out in front who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Oates iii has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dkarrion Titsworth, who scored 16 points.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Cooper, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Caden Garrett, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Will Rogers College's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Coweta, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Will Rogers College will take on Durant at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coweta, they will be playing at home against McAlester at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McAlester is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
