The Horizon Science Academy Dragons will play host again and welcome the Westside Christian Academy Eagles, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
Horizon Science Academy suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Cornerstone Christian, falling 85-34.
Meanwhile, Westside Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Horizon Science Academy on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 54-49 win.
Westside Christian Academy relied on the efforts of Calvin Cottenden, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals, and Nate Taylor, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and four steals. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reid Guertin, who scored five points along with ten rebounds.
Horizon Science Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Westside Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.
Horizon Science Academy couldn't quite finish off Westside Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 59-56. Can Horizon Science Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
