3A Conference 13 recap September 17, 2013
South Johnston moved up to 272 from 304 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A Conference 13. The Trojans climbed the ranks as a result of beating Red Springs 50-28.
Triton added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Southern Lee, 37-21. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Aaron Farmer and Isaac Martin gave Cleveland a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Farmer threw for 169 yards, while Martin ran for 175 yards. Farmer also contributed to the rushing game with 37 yards on the ground.

Martin was the most successful running back in the league this week.
Hampton Smith was the best wideout in 3A Conference 13 this week as Corinth Holders beat Bunn. Smith racked up 5 receptions for 101 yards. Tony Kirkwood helped Corinth Holders' passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 34 yards.
Brad Miller was a key player and the best on defense this week as Triton topped the Cavaliers. He grabbed 1.5 sacks.
Farmer put up the best numbers through the air as Cleveland fell to Green Hope. Farmer's favorite target this week was Taiquan Dixon, who caught 7 passes for 88 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Dixon. The Cleveland star has 21 catches for 292 yards.
Western Harnett lost to Lee County 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. JAE'PELL ORTIZ was a bright spot for the Eagles, as he ran for 31 yards and caught 1 passes for 28 yards in the loss.
