Oberlin is 0-3 against Midview since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Oberlin The Phoenix will head out on the road to face off against the Midview Middies at 7:00 p.m.
Oberlin couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 73-48 walloping at the hands of Open Door Christian on Saturday.
Despite their defeat, Oberlin saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Julian Anderson, who scored 8 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Carmello Williams, who scored 7 points.
Meanwhile, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Midview made off with a 55-54 win over Keystone.
Oberlin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Midview, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Oberlin couldn't quite finish off Midview in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 and fell 59-57. Can Oberlin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
