Amelia Cyril made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off nine hits. Cyril was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-7. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs.
In other batting news, Alianna Hong was incredible, getting on base in all seven of her plate appearances with five runs, seven RBI, and two stolen bases. Caroline Keane was another key player, going 4-for-7 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
Meanwhile, Immaculate Heart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-9 to Crossroads.
The victory got Marymount back to even at 1-1. As for Immaculate Heart, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
