The Haverling Rams will challenge the Fredonia Hillbillies at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Haverling sitting on 14 straight victories and Fredonia on 13.
Haverling proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 18) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Wellsville 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since May 7th.

Kaili Witherell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Witherell wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kasandra Plewa, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Fredonia beat Allegany-Limestone 7-3 on Tuesday.
Danielle Palisin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Anna Delcamp, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Jenna Fryberger was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Fredonia's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Haverling, their victory bumped their record up to 18-3.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Haverling hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .387. However, it's not like Fredonia struggles in that department as they've averaged .368. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
