If the Tuloso-Midway Warriors were feeling good off their 87-43 takedown of the Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Tuloso-Midway fell 45-35 to Alice on Tuesday. Tuloso-Midway was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Alice apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Alice got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Devon Barrera out in front who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Calvin Villanueva, who scored six points along with nine assists and six rebounds.
Tuloso-Midway has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Alice, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.
Tuloso-Midway and Calhoun will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Calhoun is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Alice, they will take on Agua Dulce at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
