South Fork is 8-2 against the Warriors since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The South Fork Cubs will look to defend their home court against the Hoopa Valley Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully South Fork is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in California (the Cubs are ranked 487th, while the Warriors are ranked 995th).
South Fork stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 71-41 win over Ferndale. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-18.
Meanwhile, Hoopa Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 74-38 loss at the hands of St. Bernard's. Hoopa Valley has not had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Hoopa Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lyle Mckinnon, who scored 11 points, and Neil Moon who scored nine points.
South Fork's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Hoopa Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
South Fork took their victory against the Warriors in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 66-42. Will South Fork repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
