Seacrest Country Day can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 74-36 victory over Naples at home. Given Seacrest Country Day's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 315th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Seacrest Country Day got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ty'Nazia Smith out in front who scored 20 points along with six steals. Smith is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dragana ?cepanovic, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Donahue Catholic beat the Rays 33-26 on Thursday. The victory was just what Donahue Catholic needed coming off of a 52-23 loss in their prior contest.
Scholastica Niewald continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Camille Kelly was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Seacrest Country Day has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Donahue Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
Everything came up roses for Seacrest Country Day against the Shamrocks when the teams last played back in November of 2023 as the team secured a 58-21 victory. With Seacrest Country Day ahead 32-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
