Baseball Recap: Camden County Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

Camden County won the last time they faced Gates County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bruins blew past the Red Barons 8-2. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

Bradley Elias was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Gregory, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Camden County has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Gates County, they dropped their record down to 7-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Camden County will head out to square off against Manteo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins will need to watch out since the Redskins have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for Gates County, they will venture away from home to challenge Perquimans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Red Barons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
