 Brittan Dawkins made a splash no matter where she played. She  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Dawkins was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with five  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Walnut got a big performance out of  Baylee Spight, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Spight has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Maddie Wilburn, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-1.
 Walnut  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Falkner only posted  an  OBP of  .100.
Walnut's victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 5-6. As for Falkner,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-10.
 Walnut wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  7-1  win against Pine Grove on the 22nd. As for Falkner, they also  didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  an  8-4  loss against Ripley on the 22nd.
