The Chelsea Academy Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 62-32 loss at the hands of Seton. If Chelsea Academy hoped to take revenge for the 74-24 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Chelsea Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cici Wingate, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, and Evelyn Wingate who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Wingate hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games.
Chelsea Academy dropped their record down to 7-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Seton, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chelsea Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Fredericksburg Christian at 4:30 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Fredericksburg Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday. As for Seton, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oakcrest at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Oakcrest will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while Seton is ranked 88th).
