After a string of seven wins, The Mount Union Trojans''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a hard 34-19 fall against Karns City.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryce Danish, who threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes. Another big playmaker for Mount Union was Nasir Collins, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Karns City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Cramer, who rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Hunter Scherer also helped out as he racked up 113 rushing yards.
Mount Union's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Karns City, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.
Mount Union will head out on the road to face off against United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Karns City, they will face off against Brookville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brookville is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
