Hillcrest is  a perfect 5-0 against South Oak Cliff since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Last Saturday, Hillcrest made easy work of Sunset  and carried off  a  4-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won nine contests by three  goals or more  so far this season.
They hit Sunset with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from  Amy Escorza (2),  Betelhem Gebermichael,  and  Kamrynn Martinez.
 Meanwhile, South Oak Cliff kept a clean sheet against Adamson  on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Leopards with a sharp  4-0 win. Considering the Bears' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
 Hillcrest pushed their record up to 15-3 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one  goal over those four  games. As for South Oak Cliff, their  win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 2-8.
 Hillcrest took their  victory against South Oak Cliff  in their previous matchup  back in January by a conclusive  7-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hillcrest since the  team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
