The San Dieguito Academy Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 65-43 loss at the hands of Mount Miguel. The game was a close 27-25 at the break, but unfortunately for San Dieguito Academy it sure didn't stay that way.
Mount Miguel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jasen Hughes, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Hughes continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Thaddeus Boudreaux, who scored 15 points.
San Dieguito Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Mount Miguel, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
San Dieguito Academy and Eastlake will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
