The Emmett Huskies had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Eagle on the road and fell 79-36. Emmett was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-22.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eagle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gaige Wall, who scored 17 points along with 4 steals. Cal Huish was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 3 steals.
Emmett's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Eagle, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Emmett will take on Fruitland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fruitland and Emmett are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Eagle, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pocatello at 7:30 p.m.
