Pensacola Christian Academy is 6-0 against L.E.A.D. Academy since November of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Pensacola Christian Academy Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the L.E.A.D. Academy Lions at 5:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Pensacola Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against Pensacola Catholic by a score of 41-31.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pensacola Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madeline Sellars, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sellars has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Adams, who scored three points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, L.E.A.D. Academy entered their tilt with Munroe with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. L.E.A.D. Academy walked away with a 47-38 win over Munroe on Saturday.
L.E.A.D. Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sophia Harold, who scored 16 points along with eight assists and two steals. That's the first time this season that Harold posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Emily Harold, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
Pensacola Christian Academy pushed their record up to 7-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for L.E.A.D. Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Pensacola Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against L.E.A.D. Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 37-31 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pensacola Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
