The Washington Eagles stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They breezed by Scarborough on the road to the tune of 62-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Washington has posted yet this season.
Washington's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Danaya Pope, who scored 26 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Pope has scored at least a third of Washington's points. Kendyl Harvey was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Washington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Scarborough, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Washington's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kashmere at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Scarborough will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wheatley at 10:00 a.m. on January 27th.
