Needles has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Lincoln County Lynx at 7:30 p.m. Needles has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 435 points over their last six games.
Needles has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Awaken Christian 72-51.
It was another big night for Xavier Russell, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 steals. Those 11 steals set a new season-high mark for he. Another player making a difference was Luca Walema, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, everything went Lincoln County's way against White Pine on Tuesday as Lincoln County made off with a 62-39 victory.
Lincoln County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kenyon Almaraz, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Almaraz also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Rowdy Lloyd was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Needles pushed their record up to 9-0 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.7 points. As for Lincoln County, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
