Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Rockwall's Ninth in Last 11 Outings

While Rockwall's win against Longview wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Yellowjackets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Lobos on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-7 back in March.

Rockwall has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Longview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-11.

Coming up, Rockwall will head out on the road to square off against Mansfield Legacy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Longview, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Forney at 7:00 p.m. The Jackrabbits will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Lobos surely won't give up without a fight.
