It was a good run, but the McCallie Blue Tornado unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Baylor 64-58. McCallie has struggled against Baylor recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why McCallie lost, one person who can't be blamed is Parker Robison. Despite the final result, he scored 28 points along with five assists and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Gallman, who scored 13 points.
McCallie struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
McCallie's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-2. As for Baylor, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
McCallie will square off against Chattanooga Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Baylor, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Webb at 5:00 p.m. Webb knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Baylor likes a good challenge.
