Thompson fell to Cavalier 20-58 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Thompson took their game against Cavalier on Friday by a conclusive 36-6 score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.
No one had a larger role in the success than senior Cadyn Schwabe, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 124 yards and 3 touchdowns. This was the first game for both teams, giving Thompson a 1-0 record and starting Cavalier off at 0-1.
Next week, Thompson take on Hatton/Northwood at 7:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Thompson and Hatton/Northwood will really light up the scoreboard. As for Cavalier, they will face of against Four Winds.
