Continental has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Fort Jennings Musketeers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Continental comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Continental suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Perry, falling 45-8.
Kenzie Shock was Continental's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Olivia Crossgrove held things down on the boards with 14 rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Meanwhile, Fort Jennings' 11-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They took down Hardin Northern 58-41. Fort Jennings' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Continental bumped their record down to 0-13 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.2 points per game. As for Fort Jennings, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-13.
Continental lost to Fort Jennings on the road by a decisive 48-32 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Continental avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
