Western Alamance is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Oak Grove is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Warriors will host the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Western Alamance is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

Western Alamance took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Eastern Alamance, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Eagles 6-5 on Friday.

Addison Beal spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bayleigh Burris, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyndal Wilborn, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Oak Grove's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Asheboro a 16-0 shutout. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Blue Comets recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Western Alamance is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Oak Grove, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Western Alamance beat Oak Grove 5-2 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
