The Joel Barlow Falcons can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 14-13 victory over New Fairfield. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Joel Barlow to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Gilbert, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown.
When it comes to explaining why New Fairfield lost, one person who can't be blamed is Drew Colesworthy. Despite the final result, he picked up 29 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 38 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes.
Joel Barlow now has a winning record of 5-4. As for New Fairfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

As for New Fairfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Bethel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bethel is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
