The Peoples Baptist Academy Knights lost against the Victory Baptist Warrior back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Peoples Baptist Academy took a 62-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Victory Baptist. Peoples Baptist Academy has not had much luck with Victory Baptist recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Peoples Baptist Academy saw an underclassman step up: Brayden Sweatman scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sweatman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadon Collins, who scored 12 points.
Peoples Baptist Academy's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-9. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points per game. As for Victory Baptist, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peoples Baptist Academy and Skipstone Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Victory Baptist, they will head out on the road to face off against Grace Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
