Make it six blowout wins for the American History Bald Eagles this season. They blew past People's Prep 59-24 at home on Monday. With American History ahead 34-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
American History got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Shamiyah Mubarak out in front who scored 13 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Neveah Stanley, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
American History has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for People's Prep, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
American History won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on February 6th. Newark Vocational comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. People's Prep is on the road again on Friday and plays the Comets at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hillside is on a five-game streak of home losses, the a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
