After five games on the road, Fuchs Mizrachi is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Tuesday, Fuchs Mizrachi lost to Cornerstone Christian on the road by a decisive 41-27 margin.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Villa Angela-St. Joseph's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Walsh Jesuit, falling 75-47. Villa Angela-St. Joseph has not had much luck with Walsh Jesuit recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Elizabeth Dunmire, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. She scored a full 38.3% of Villa Angela-St. Joseph's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Geanice Bostick, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
Fuchs Mizrachi now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Villa Angela-St. Joseph, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.
Fuchs Mizrachi was dealt a bruising 79-32 defeat at the hands of Villa Angela-St. Joseph in their previous meeting back in January. Thankfully for Fuchs Mizrachi, Amari Hancock (who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
