A feisty cat fight will be fought as Canyon View Jaguars  challenge  Liberty Lions at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. Canyon View is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Canyon View's pitching crew heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Monday. Everything went their way against Paradise Valley as Canyon View made off with  a  26-0 win. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six  runs or more this season.

 Emily Davis was a major factor no matter where she played. She  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with four  RBI and one  run.
 In other batting news, Canyon View got a  massive  performance out of  Savannah Huhta, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. That's the most  hits  Huhta has posted since back in April of 2024.  Brooke Downs was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
 Canyon View was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .711. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .308 or higher in ten consecutive  contests.
Meanwhile, Liberty narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Paradise Honors  8-7.
 The team  relied heavily on  Violet Mitchell, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Brooklyn Calsyn, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Canyon View pushed their record up to 11-0 with the  win, which was their 15th straight  at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.8 runs. As for Liberty, they now  have a winning record of 5-4-1.
Liberty's hitters will have their work cut out for them  on Wednesday. Canyon View has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 9.7  strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Liberty, though, as  they've been averaging  only 4.1  strikeouts. Will Canyon View keep running through batters, or will Liberty buck the trend?
 Canyon View took their  victory against Liberty  in their previous meeting  on Thursday by a conclusive  7-0. Will Canyon View repeat their success,  or does  Liberty have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
