Softball Recap: Ticonderoga Has No Trouble Against Moriah

While Ticonderoga put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Moriah. The Sentinels were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Sentinels, who have now won ten matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ticonderoga got a big performance out of Avery Lender, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Yaw, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Ticonderoga always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .850. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Ticonderoga's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Moriah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.

Coming up, Ticonderoga will head out on the road to face off against Peru at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Nighthawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Sentinels surely won't give up without a fight. As for Moriah, they will be playing at home against Johnsburg Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
