4A District 7 recap September 17, 2013
Highlands extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 7 this week by beating John Hardin, 33-26. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Bluebirds.
Pendleton County lost to Paris 36-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Harrison County's dynamic duo of Robbie Stroub and Justin Hunter proved tough for Mason County to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Stroub threw for 273 yards and 3 touchdowns and Hunter had 90 yards receiving. Zach Mastin helped Harrison County's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 92 yards.
The Thorobreds' dynamic duo of Stroub and Hunter proved to be unstoppable against the Royals, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Ben Darlington was the best running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 76 yards as Covington Catholic fell to Mason County. Ben Dressman also contributed to the rushing game with 71 yards on the ground.
He went 18-41 with 1 interceptions.
Hunter was the best wideout in the league this week as Jim Carr's team lost to David Buchanan's team.
Stroub put up the best numbers through the air as the Thorobreds lost to the Royals.
Highlands led 4A District 7 in scoring this week by notching 33 points on the Bulldogs.
