Softball Recap: Salisbury Wins Going Away Against Trinity

Salisbury won the last time they faced Trinity and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Hornets were the clear victors by an 18-6 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won seven contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Salisbury got a massive performance out of Allison Peeler, who went 2-for-4 with seven RBI, one run, and one double. Those seven RBI gave Peeler a new career-high. Dasmine Ambers also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Salisbury's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Trinity, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salisbury will square off against Thomasville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity, they will challenge Southwestern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
